How I look after your details
Short and plain. I'm Aga Veles, a sole trader in Cork, and I'm the one responsible for the details described here. Questions or requests: agaveles.piercing@gmail.com.
What I keep
- Your name and email, plus your phone number or Instagram if you give one, from when you book or when you filled in my consent form.
- Your visits: the date, which piercings or services you had, the jewellery and length I used.
- Your healing dates (when a downsize or check-up is due) and whether you asked for reminders.
- If a parent or guardian books for a child, I note that so the emails say "your child".
- A small record of which emails I've already sent you, so you never get the same one twice.
The health questions on my consent form stay on that form. They are not copied onto your account.
Why
To book your appointment, keep a record of your piercings, send you aftercare and a thank-you, and ask for a review about a week later. Healing reminders (downsize and check-up) are only sent if you ticked the box, and you can turn them off any time. I don't sell your details, and I don't use them for marketing.
Who else handles it
- Netlify hosts this website and stores your account.
- Resend sends the emails.
- Google (Forms, Sheets, Gmail) holds my consent forms and booking emails.
These are services I use to run the business and they only act on my instructions. Some of them are based outside the EU and use standard safeguards for that.
Cookies
Only one, and only if you log in to "My piercings": a login cookie that keeps you signed in. I don't use advertising or tracking cookies on your account page.
How long
I keep your record for up to 3 years after your last visit, then delete it. If you ask me to delete it sooner, I will.
Your rights
You can ask to see what I hold, correct it, take it with you, or delete it. You can see your own piercings and delete your account yourself, any time, on My piercings (log in with the email you booked with, then "Delete my data"). Or just email me at agaveles.piercing@gmail.com and I'll sort it, normally within a few days. If you ever feel I've handled your details badly, you can complain to the Data Protection Commission (dataprotection.ie).
