I believe a piercing should be more than just jewellery β€” it should be a statement, a memory, and a perfect fit for you.

Aftercare

When it comes to healing your new piercing, it's important to prioritize your overall health and well-being. Ensuring your body heals effectively involves maintaining good health practices such as staying hydrated, eating nutritiously, and getting sufficient rest. Mental well-being, including managing stress levels, also plays a significant role in your body's healing process.

General aftercare for all piercings

- Avoid touching your piercing.
- Refrain from twisting or turning your jewelry.
- Don't apply pressure on the piercing, especially while sleeping
- Wash your hands before starting aftercare.
- Rinse the piercing with sterile saline solution.
- Gently remove any residue with a saline-soaked cotton bud.
- Keep the skin around the piercing dry.

Additional aftercare for body piercings

- Keep the piercing dry, avoiding submerging it in water for the first 6 weeks (this includes bathing at home, swimming pools, using hot tubs etc)
- Keep makeup, lotions, hair products and spray tan away from the piercing for the first 6 weeks.
- Avoid using harsh cleaning products on the piercing.
- Refrain from changing jewelry too soon, ask your piercer about downsizing.
- Watch out for signs of infection like increased redness, swelling, warmth or discharge. If you notice any of these contact your piercer or healthcare professional.
